What happened between you and Akira?

That is quite the broad question, all things considered. You might have to be more specific than that.

Or you could use your famed powers of deduction, and figure it out for yourself.

He who seeks information is the one who should do the necessary legwork to obtain it. Otherwise, you can leave with your little tail between your legs.

It's difficult to do legwork when the other party is wilfully being obtuse, but very well.

Akira's been behaving strangely. He mentioned he did something to hurt you. Why is that?

His reasoning is something only he could tell you about. All I know is that we had a chance meeting a while ago, and he seemed to be under the impression I wanted to harm him.

In his head, I suppose that might have been called self-defense, though I didn't attack him first.

I'd understand well enough why he'd think you'd want to hurt him...

What I don't understand is your complete lack of interest in doing anything to harm him. Have you lost your nerve, now we're in another world, and the police aren't on your side? Or is there another reason?

I don't understand what you had to gain from assassinating him to begin with. If we're shortsighted, it's because you've done nothing to explain your reasons for betraying us, have you?

What are you talking about? Have you already forgotten the last time I met all of you?

If you're referring to the casino heist, I haven't forgotten.

If you're referring to the last time you were here in Hadriel, I haven't forgotten that, either.

I didn't peg you for the trickster type, Kitagawa, and I don't believe I was wrong about that assumption. So what do you have to gain from these lies?

I'm not lying. If you're suggesting you've met us at some other time since then, it would have to be under some clever disguise, because we certainly have not. You may ask Akira yourself, if my word alone isn't enough.

And how could I ask him, if even you can't get him to talk?

So I suppose I'll have to ask you: what is this about me having been here before?

You were here before, but you behaved as though you had no knowledge of who Akira and I were.

Either you were lying for some bizarre reason to try to get us to lower our guards, or you were from the past. I'm beginning to assume it's the latter, because now you've returned, there are other things that simply don't add up.

If that is true, then it would explain why neither of you seem to remember our last meeting the way I do. But on the other hand, it doesn't make sense that I wouldn't remember having been here, either.

Apparently it happens fairly often, that people return home and arrive once more with no recollection of ever being here. If Ann or Futaba ever return, I would not be surprised if they were affected in the same way.

So, what is this last meeting we had? If it happened between all of us, surely you can tell us what transpired.

Either way, I thought you wanted to know about Akira? Shouldn't that be your priority?

Of course he's my priority. What I'm trying to establish is what your intentions are towards him, and from what you've hinted, it would seem your last meeting with us is indicative of that.

If you do or do not want to tell me, I would appreciate a direct answer either way, so I can at least know where we stand with you.

I will tell you what you need to know, and that is that I have no intention to harm either of you. I won't even try to stop whatever it is you have been doing with your powers in this place. As long as you stay out of my hair, I will do the same.

In that case, I don't foresee any more interventions. I hardly think you would have bothered to come this far if you had known the fight was mostly one-sided.

Yes. I also know this place makes people behave erratically at times, and that may be in large part to blame for what transpired.

I don't know what will become of us in the future. But if it is a future in which you are no longer hostile toward us, I'd be glad for it.
