[ Sometimes people just sneeze! But - he's not wrong, really - sometimes it is a sign of something oncoming. Considering the last few weeks of her life, she wouldn't be surprised if stress has weakened her immune system. ]

There's no need for both of us to get sick, after all.

I appreciate your concern, but I believe I'll be fine. [ He offers a small laugh, though, always the Pleasant Boy that he is. ] I went through the same as you, back when I first arrived, and I managed to avoid sickness. Admittedly, I had some help at the time, so hopefully the same will apply to you. Consider it paying it forward, haha.

[ Hmm...? It's not that Haru had struck him as the unstable type, far from that, but there was something a little... off? About her mannerisms right now. A little too stiff, in a way he didn't think would suit her.

Oh, well. It's not his place - or in his interest - to question her right now, anyway. ]

Oh, believe me, I have certainly tried, but the truth is, it doesn't seem like there is much we can do against our captors so far.

[ A sigh. ] I... understand this isn't the news you were hoping to hear, and it might be particularly disappointing to know that even I haven't been able to make much progress in my investigation concerning the mechanics behind this place, but... that is the unfortunate state of affairs as of the moment.
